Under en debatt i riksdagen om tillgång till olycksdata svarade infrastrukturminister Tomas Eneroth (s) på en fråga från Thomas Morell (sd). Både ministern och riksdagsledamoten lovordade under debatten SMCs arbete och kursverksamhet. Det är få MC-organisationer i världen som har uppnått så stor respekt hos sina politiker som SMC där ansvarig minister rekommenderar alla som MC-förare att bli medlem. SMCs trafiksäkerhetsarbete baseras på statistik, fakta och forskning, vilket är orsaken till att SMC uppvaktat politiker sedan vi utestängts från STRADA. SMC kan vara stolta över verksamheten som får uppmärksamhet i detta sammanhang!
SMCs trafiksäkerhetsarbete baseras på statistik, fakta och forskning. Samhällets olycksstatistik från polis och sjukvård är en grundpelare för SMC:s trafiksäkerhets- och MC-politiska arbete. Drygt 200 användare i organisationer och företag, bland annat SMC, har fått sin direktåtkomst till statstiken indragen på grund av att man vill skydda känsliga personuppgifter. Flera politiker i riksdagen har engagerat sig och ställt frågor till infrastrukturminister Tomas Eneroth (s) för SMC ska få sin access tillbaka.

SMC was praised in the parliament this week
This week there was a debate in the Swedish parliament about access to accident data. During the debate both the minister of infrastructure:Tomas Eneroth (s) and the member of parliament Thomas Morell (sd) praised the work of SMC and the voluntary advanced training that we can offer. There are few motorcycle organizations which has the respect among there politicians that can make the minister in charge to urge all motorcycle owners to become members which was what mr Eneroth did.
The road safety work of SMC is based on statistics, facts and research. This is the reason for SMC to approach politicians since we and more than 200 users in organisations and companies were excluded from the database STRADA where all accidents from the police and hospitals are collected.
the reason for the exclusion is that the Swedish Transport Agency wants to protect information that could be linked to a person. Several politicians in the parliament are involved in the topic and have raised questions to the minister of infrastructure Tomas Eneroth (s).
- We can be very proud when two leading politicians recommends all motorcyclists to become a member of SMC and take part in our advanced training, says Jesper Christensen, general secretary of SMC.
